Kenyan Orphan Project Revisited

One year on, three FR staff are returning to Kisumu to revisit the projects funded by KOP and Festival Republic.

One year ago the Kenyan Orphan Project, KOP, organised a fundraising bike ride across Kenya and because Festival Republic has supported KOP since 2008, 12 staff decided to take part, the funds of which have gone towards these projects.

Kisumu is Kenya’s third biggest city resting on the shores of Lake Victoria in the west of the country. It is also the poorest region in Kenya with high rates of Malaria, TB and HIV/AIDS and severe poverty. Against this background KOP works with large numbers of orphans and vulnerable children.
